2023 Speech ContestThe speech contest is for grades 9-12. I will present information and rules when school starts and the student will have roughly 1 month to complete and memorize their speech. Speeches will first be presented to the board members of the Blaine Soil Conservation District where the top 3 places will receive cash prizes with the top placing speech to move on to present their speech for the members of the Division IV Soil and Water Conservation Districts at the Division IV fall meeting. (Time and date TBD) Again the top 3 speeches will receive cash prizes. The 1st placing speech will then have the opportunity to present at State level at the Idaho Association of Soil Conservation Districts yearly meeting (again time and date TBD). Travel cost for state competition will be covered.
